Privacy policies are usually written for lawyers, not people. This one is written for you. It covers exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do, and don't do, with it.
Pepvela is a free informational site. We collect very little data. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. Here is exactly what we collect and why.
Analytics (Anonymous)
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, which pages are visited, how long people stay, what devices they use. This data is anonymous and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
Private Beta / Waitlist Signup (If You Submit It)
If you request Private Beta access or join our waitlist, from the homepage or the waitlist page, we collect your email address and any of the following you choose to provide: your first name, your primary goal, your experience level, and whether you would like to receive Pepvela marketing emails. We use this to manage your private-beta request and contact you about access. We send product updates, research news, and announcements only if you opt in to marketing emails.
The public waitlist and Private Beta signup forms do not collect lab results, health records, or medical information.
Research Updates Subscription (If You Subscribe)
If you subscribe through a research-page popup, we collect your email address and the page where you subscribed. Because you are explicitly requesting research updates, we record that subscription as an email-marketing opt-in. We use it to manage your subscription and contact you with Pepvela research updates, including new studies, comparisons, and research profiles. You can unsubscribe from future emails at any time.
The Private Beta signup forms do not collect lab results, medical records, diagnoses, medication lists, or other detailed medical information. We do not require account creation on pepvela.com. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal data to third parties.
Private Beta, waitlist, and Research Updates submissions are stored in Pepvela's secured CRM database, hosted through Supabase. Access to this data is limited to authorized Pepvela administrators. We take reasonable measures to protect it, but no method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure.
You can request deletion of your email or ask to stop receiving Pepvela marketing emails at any time by emailing hello@pepvela.com. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using your browser's privacy settings or a tool like uBlock Origin.

Pepvela is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
If we make meaningful changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. For a platform at this stage, changes would most likely reflect new features like user accounts or subscriptions.
